Soma Downtown is built on the story of the gospel and the Bible as a whole. Since we opened our doors in 2015, we’ve been amazed to see how people from different backgrounds, with different experiences, and in different seasons of life have been united by the power of the story of Jesus.

We worship a Creator God who made us in His image as creators; a Storyteller who delights in His children participating in His story. That’s why we’re making this effort to gather together the stories of how God is moving in the lives of our congregation. We hope that by hearing testimonies from our brothers and sisters, we’ll be encouraged that God is at work and that his Story continues, especially if and when we in our personal lives are struggling to hear it.

We’re collecting three different types of stories:

• Stories of Discipleship: Examples of God moving through personal one-on-one relationships or through an individual’s transformation (e.g., sharing the gospel with a friend or receiving a lesson from a mentor)

• Stories of Community: Examples of God moving in our city or within our church body (e.g., MCs rallying around a person in need or a group from our congregation serving the city in a new way)

• Stories of Mission: Examples of God moving in mission-focused organizations and the global church related to Soma Downtown’s congregation (e.g., one of our members going on a mission trip or a MC partnering with an organization for gospel and city renewal)
